|Description||The Third Party Site Procurement Leader is responsible for the clients' food and packaging procurement at their third party manufacturing site in Raleigh, North Carolina.|
The Site Leader must be able to oversee multiple activities simultaneously, including:
Determining the order quantities for food and packaging
Submitting PO’s to procure required ingredients
Ensuring all product arrives in a timely manner and meets quality expectations
Reacting to and mitigating shortages due to food or packaging
Receiving products into the clients' inventory systems
Ensuring production occurs in a safe and quality manner in time for dock outs.
The Site Leader is responsible for exhibiting a strong working knowledge of all procurement and operations processes, and must be able to perform basic troubleshooting and in the moment problem solving.
The Site Leader must be able to manage and troubleshoot all technological tools used in procurement or production (e.g., production tracker, NetSuite, scanners, etc.) or escalate to the appropriate owner.
The Site Leader is also expected to work closely with other functions within the facility to execute the clients' initiatives.
Strong communication is required to ensure the corporate teams are up to speed on issues occurring at the plant, as well as translating any plan changes to the 3rd Party Manufacturing facility.
*This role will be off-site in Raleigh, North Carolina.
Manage ordering process for multiple menu cycles by balancing lead times, forecast variability, and multiple purchase orders
Place timely, accurate orders with the clients' vendors and/or source product locally
Work regularly in excel to determine purchase quantities
Utilize clients' ERP system to cut purchase orders and track in-house inventory
Work cross functionally with site quality and production teams daily
Reduce excess over orders by tracking product starting inventory and cutting orders as needed
Quickly source short product and resolve problems in a timely manner related to inventory, product quality, and yields
Balance production schedule with product perishability to determine best product delivery date
Balance food costs with product quality by sourcing product from vendors that can meet the clients' delivery dates and quality expectations
Review product yields and over orders on a weekly basis and make adjustments as needed
Manage product yields and forecast variability while adjusting product quantities as needed
Helps coordinate transfers from BP, where necessary
Inventory Management and Tracking:
Works with third party warehouse team to ensure all product, food and packaging required for production tasks has been received in full on site and recorded into the clients' systems.
Escalates quality issues that may result in future product shorts to the corporate teams.
Oversees the accuracy of daily and weekly counts conducted and recorded by the Site.
|Requirements||Minimum of 2+ years of successful supervisory or leadership experience in a fast-paced environment.|
Cross-functional experience in 2 more departments (warehouse, production, quality, procurement etc.) preferred
Track record of driving KPIs and meeting or exceeding goal required
Proficient on using tablets and PC’s
Must be able to lift up to 49 pounds occasionally with or without reasonable accommodation
Must have floor presence and be able to stand/walk for up to 10-12 hours in a cold environment less 40 degrees
